Initially this little Belted Kingfisher was wary of me, but once she figured out I wasn't a threat, she settled and went back to fishing for lunch. She was wary of the vultures overhead though and kept looking up to make sure she wasn't on the menu.

2017 was a year of travel, Hurricane Harvey, some rocky health issues, World Series Astros baseball, and a winter that we can actually call a winter here in Texas. All in all our family has been blessed, so we are grateful for all the blessings we've been bestowed. Thought I'd finish off the year with this lovely, discovered amongst thousands of unprocessed photos from our summer travels. Hoping you all enjoy a safe, healthy, peaceful, and prosperous New Year - Cheers to 2018! 2017
